The watch bill

Every station, its duty, and the watch it stands

A watch bill is the roster of who stands which duty, and when. This one has 39 stations in 8 divisions. Each one is a Claude Code agent with its own folder and standing orders. One person is the captain. The crew reports to him once a day.

What the watches mean

Runs the round 20:00
Runs the nightly round: musters every station, picks the deep dives, and sends the one email.

Standing orders

How the crew is kept honest

Muster is read-only. At 20:00 every station answers with read-only tools and no write tools. Nothing it does at muster changes a file.

Deep dives stop at the line. The three or four stations picked each night may write, but may not send, deploy, pay, or delete. A station that reaches that line stops and puts it on the captain's list.

The numbers are a whitelist. The captain's reply can only run tasks already written in that night's roll-up, copied word for word. A number with no matching item is reported and ignored.

Failure is loud. A station that crashes or times out is reported as failed. Nobody goes unattended for long: any station that has gone eight days without a deep dive is due for one.
